Hi,

How many times does your 15ish week old wake in the night and how many of those times do they want feeding?

Thanks

Do you bf or bottle feed?

NoTeaForMe · 04/02/2011 03:56

Mix, she has 3 bottles throughout the day and I breastfeed the rest. Then I breastfeed through the night.

At that age my DS was about 4 times a night... 2 hours ish.

Ah - thought you had written 15 months then and was about to write my 18mth old still wakestwice at night. Hope you don't have to deal with it that long though!

Hope you didn't mind me asking! DS1 slept through from about 13/14 weeks. He was bottle fed though. Difficult for me to give advice as bf is different and I bf none of my 3. I am presuming you are very tired and wondering when the waking will stop? Wink Have you thought about maybe bf through the day and maybe last feed before you settle your little one you give a bottle as you may find s/he may fine it more fulfilling and therefore sleep longer between feeds. And then a bottle in the night also if they wake? Another thing is I do not know what formula you use but if you aren't already try using the hungry milk at night time and again may help lengthen sleep.

I know sleep deprivation is just torture and it seems like it will never end,but it does get better xxx :)

Once at 15 weeks, at about 5am. Now 17 weeks and has decided to up it to include a 1am feed too Confused

at that age DD probably fed (BF) at 10-ish, 1-ish and 4-ish - and on a bad might wake another once or twice or three times and we'd settle without feeding ... a good night was only 11 and 3, but they were rare

my dd2 is 18 weeks and has pretty consistently woken every 2hours for the last 2 months. I don't always need to feed her (am BF) but do most of the time as am too knackered to put up a fight! She definitely only needs feeding 3 hourly as some of the time, she goes back to sleep v quickly.

how often does your wake OP?

NoTeaForMe · 04/02/2011 17:14

She's not too bad really I don't think, but after talking to others I began wondering....and my husband thinks she should be sleeping more.

She goes to bed round 7-8 ish (has a bottle) then wakes around 11 then around 3 (I breastfeed in the night) she then wakes about 8 to start the day. This is a good night. She often wakes around 5/6 but I seem to be able to settle her without feeding on this wake up.

Tbh NoTeaForMe that sounds pretty good :) You will find as she grows that 3am will get later and eventually dropped altogether hopefully x :)
