My DS has been in a bed since September and he has turned into a nightmare. He was always great at going to sleep but since being in a bed he gets up countless times calling for mummy and daddy at the gate over his door
When we go to him after waiting fir a bit he laughs and runs back into bed and waits for us to tuck him in. We did the whole thing of not talking to him as per super nanny but the situation has not improved. He even gets up in the middle of the night. He's not crying he just asks for us.
This week we decided to tIe the gate away but that has made it worse at bedtime to the point where we pit the gate back on after putting him back to bed 50 times.
What can we do to stop him getting out of bed? We have even tried the reward chart and when we banned. Cherrios from his breakfast he actually ate more then normal!
During the day he is such a good wee boy so we don't understand. We are desperate!
