Doesn't make a blind bit of difference to my ds. Still only sleeps 3 hours at a time. Tried it for a week over Christmas and found no change. Sorry!

ItWasSelfDefence · 17/01/2011 22:35

Didn't make any difference to my two when we gave it a try, sorry!

Make no difference - ds1 (my worst sleeper) was completely ff and didn't sleep for more than 5 hrs until he was over a year.

DD - ff slept through from birth
ds2 - exclusively BF - not too bad with sleep but I was much more relaxed and didn't expect him to sleep for long - anything better than ds1 was a bonus!

Yup... made no real difference to the length of sleep. And giving formula just messes up the supply and demand cycle of bf.

HaveToWearHeels · 17/01/2011 22:48

no difference, it just made us more stressed as she didn't like it and we were assured it would make a difference, so we were pushing it on her, After two nights we gave up and she went through with a dream feed at 12 weeks. 7pm bed, 11pm dream feed, would go then to 7am.

No difference in ds2 either. But what cat64 said about the solid sleep, we did that at the weekends when dh was home and it was a lifesaver.
