MY 2 YR OLD WILL NOT STAY IN HIS BED,IT TAKES ME 3 HOURS SITTING OUTSIDE THE DOOR

SINCE MY SON MORGAN WENT INTO A BED WHICH HE SHARES A ROOM WITH HIS 1 YR OLD BROTHER.AM HAVING NIGHTMARE HE TRYS TO GET IN HIS BROTHERS COT, CONSTANTLY OUT OF HIS BED.ITS BEEN TWO WKS NOW IF ME SITTING OUTSIDE THE ROOM FOR 3 HOURS, WHAT CAN I DO TO MAKE HIM STAY IN BED.

Why must you sit outside the door?
If you have space, move the cot into your room and make sure there's nothing dangerous in reach, and leave him to it. If he knows he's got your attention by being naughty he'll jkeep doing it. If you sut the door and leave him to it he'll stop

Agree with BooBoo. He's doing it because you are there. Move the baby out and let him get on with it.

Or put a stair gate across the door and leave him to it. He will get bored eventually.

Perhaps he could choose new bedding/night-light/teddy for his bed to make it seem really special to him? Worked with my DS1.

You would get more responses and advice if you turned off your caps lock key. People don't like it and tend to ignore these posts.

Thanks for the edvice, I have a stair gate up already.I cant seperate them as they adore each other and they wont sleep if the other one is not there.Think i will just leave them to it.

Just keep putting him back in bed and don't talk to him. He'll get bored eventually.

Does he think the cot is his?
