Why does 2yo DD sleep so well every night except the very few when I really need her to?!

2 year old DD has always been a good sleeper. We co-sleep, still BF morning and night and are happy with this.

However, if I ever need to be up early in the morning for a meeting, presentation, exam, early train etc.. she becomes very restless and clingy so that neither of us gets any sleep on the handful of nights that I most need it...

Is she somehow picking up on unconscious physical tension? Or am I passing over some kind of alertness chemical in BM?! I'm a pretty relaxed person and don't think I'm obviously stressed before early mornings but perhaps little ones are just more sensitive.

Any ideas?
