11 month old only naps for 30 mins in the morning and afternoon - is that enough?

Hi,

I'm definitely not going to complain because my 11 month old twins sleep well at night - roughtly from 7:30pm to 6:30am.

However both of them only nap for 30 mins in the morning and again in the afternoon. They still both seem quite tetchy (sp) throughout the day until their second nap but they just wont sleep any longer - even if we're out in the buggy.

Does that sound like enough nap time for their age? I just don't want to affect they're night-time sleep.

Any advice or thoughts welcome.

What time do they sleep? I'd say it's probably not enough.

30 minute sleeps are often due to overtiredness, especially for that second nap. Can you try getting them off earlier?

At that age, my DS woke at 6.30am, napped for 30 mins at 9.30am and again for 2 hours at 1.30pm.

Short naps can also be caused by sleep regressions in the run up to developmental spurts - there's one around 46 weeks. They've caused DS to have 30 min naps at points.
