DS is 11 weeks and has never been able to get to sleep on his own, always needed cuddling or rocking. is EBF and goes to sleep in my arms around ten pm then up around half 3 then 6. is this a disasetr? cant seem to get him to sleep at all in evenings and during day only in the pram or sling. v worried as DH has been reading gina ford and thinks we are runing him. help.

Gosh salander I think you're doing really WELL!

I read in Penelope Leach's book that you cannot spoil a baby under 6 months of age, and I think she's right. I really wouldn't worry about it.

If you are happy with how things are then I would encourage your DH to put the book away. I know it's really difficult when your DH has different ideas about how a baby should be brought up though, and it can be very undermining. Remember, you know your baby better than gina, for all her experience.
