Hi am after a quick
view of what to do here....

My DS is 12 weeks old and is in a loose, baby led routine. He usually naps about 3/4 times a day for about 40 minutes each. He has a bedtime routcine that starts at 6, feed, bath, massage, cuddles and songs and into his cot sleepy but awake at 7.....

So he is the thing....today he napped for an hour this morning and again at lunchtime. He then fell asleep in his bouncer at about 3 and woke at half three crying so I fed him. He was crying straight after the feed (unusual), I changed his nappy and cuddled him and he fell asleep on me at about 4.15....and he is still asleep....

So what do you think? Should I wake him......

All views welcomed!

Thanks

I never woke a sleeping baby. I know it's a worry that they'll be awake when you don't want them to, but I always felt that they were asleep becuase they needed it.

12 weeks probably in a growth spurt so will need extra sleep.

relax and get your feet up for 10 mins :)

Agree with both above. But he's probably awake by now anyway!

I've never woken a sleeping baby!
Even now I let DS2 (nearly 3!) sleep as long as he likes more or less and he still goes to bed well at night.
I think that babies that sleep well in the day usually slleep better at night funnily enough.

He is still tiny, I'd let him sleep Smile

Thanks everyone!

I am letting him sleep. He is still zzzing away giving me time to play on MN....!

As long as he was acting normally when he was awake, then no I would not wake him. He may have a cold coming, or be having a growth spurt.

Watch out for signs of illness though.
