is this method of sleeping training just as good as putting lo down?

we are trying to break a rocking/holding tickling face/feeding to sleep.lo has been waking up crying after this we thought lo was hungry but realised lo was waking up wondering where he is. we are now trying put down sssh to sleep but is this just the same as put down? will he always want us to sssh him to sleep?

Check out the book "Toddler Taming" by Christopher Green even if your child isn't quite old enough to be a toddler yet. Or "The Baby Whisperer" by Tracey Hogg, which is brilliant. Or the Supernanny website. Or google Furberising (grim for you but effective)
