4 months baby can't sleep!

My 4 month old baby can't sleep for more than 2 hours at night. Mw/hv/dr give conflicting advice: to feed or not to feed. So far I feed her whenever she wakes but she now wakes every hour, can't be hunger, but won't settle again until fed. Just a cuddle won't do and I'm so tired at 3/4/5 am that I cave in.

She can go for 3/4 hours plus in the day and I just can't get any more down her in the day. Have instigated a bedtime routine which is still quite tough, usually a fair bit of crying before sleep but she does go down awake and fall asleep alone (usually) but with me in the room.

This last week she was waking up even more frequently that every hour and I am beginning to feel the strain. She never naps for more than 30 mins either so I don't get to catch up in the day. any suggestions? Should say too she is ebf.

Thanks!

Give her a dummy?

tis probably the infamous 16 week growth spurt!

go with it, it will pass eventually :)

it's tough being sleep deprived, but the more you feed her the quicker your supply will catch up and she'll calm down again

yep, 4 mth sleep regression/growth spurt.

normal, rough...but temporary!

Or, possibly, cut out night feeds and watch her sleep through in three nights. Which is what we did & she did at exactly 4 months.
