Putting baby to sleep in cot during the day

DD is over 8 weeks old and sleeps beautifully (with the help of a dummy Blush) in her moses basket which is in her cotbed, every night.

Is it wrong of me to put her down for naps in there during the day?

I've only just tried this today and I'm wondering if thats too much time in the same place? She doesn't really like her car seat for sleeping in unless we go out in the car, or her bouncy chair thingy.

Stupid question?

If I'm at home then DD always goes into cot (outgrown moses basket now). My logic was a) she always associates cot with sleep b) have read lots of advice saying that babies shouldn't spend a lot of time in car seat/ swings etc especially to sleep as they curve the babies spine and doesn't make for easy breathing as lung capacity is compromised (guess this is similar to why those baby sling things were withdrawn?)

If I'm out and about though DD sleeps soundly in car seat whilst we're driving and then her pushchair.

Excellent! Thanks for advice. I can't believe my luck at times. I just put her down and she's asleep almost instantly! Hope it lasts!
