How to get a routine for a 4 year old and a 6m old who share a room

This isn't a current problem but will be soon. We only have 2 bedrooms and so DS will have to share with DD who is 4 years old until we can afford to move.

My problem will be I think how to manage to get 2 children off to sleep who are very different ages.

DD currently has bath, a bit of play in bedroom, story and then sleep with me waiting bedside her until she's off (takes about 5-10 mins). DS goes off first with a BF and then in his cot in our room.

These routines are not really compatible so wondered what others do? I may have to leave him with us for longer I suppose or BF him in our room and transfer to the bedroom when he's asleep.

Any experience/suggestions on room sharing?
