Clock change problem - why??!

Can anyone help. DD2 (19months) is a good sleeper and normally gets up at 6-6-30 which is ok. Since sunday this had been 5 ish. She is exactly an hour off so its no coincidence. Can't actually work out why as we are putting her to bed at the same (new) time etc.

DD1 is also getting up early but i think thats more to do with being disturbed by DD2 (and so of course she is tired for school).

thanks

Hi there

I have no explanation as to why it happens - but all the mummies I have spoken to are suffering the same problem (me included)

Just wanted to say that you are not alone and my mum tells me it will pass eventually!

They sort themselves out eventually - takes about a week as far as I remember. Bit of a shock to the system when they do it for the first autumn clock change though isn't it?!

It is daft but before being a parent you love the extra hour in the autumn and hate losing an hour in the spring but after having children it is the opposite way round because they wake up later in the Spring i.e. instead of waking at 6.30 they wake at 7.30 so you get an extra hour whilst they sort themselves out. Exactly the same here :( DS is 15 months old and has hardly ever slept longer than until 6a.m. Since Sunday we have 5 o'clock starts and a grumpy baby as he has had less sleep than he would normally do.
Also, he recently started dropping the afternoon nap, but when he's up at 5, he's absolutely shattered by 9:30. So today his only nap of the day was 9:30-11.

I'm soooo tired. He also wakes a few times in the night. Teeth?? Habit? yaaaawn.
