could this be possible? He wakes every 2 hours or less for a feed at night and reallly eats. During the day I feed him pretty often I suppose, sometimes just for comfort too. Seems to me he eats more at night.Do not want to settle him other ways at night bc I feel if he is full, he will sleep better. Dont wana just create bad habits though. Any thoughts?

I don't know - how old is he? I certainly tried with all 3 of mine to feed as much as I could during the day in the hope that there would be less feeding at night (and they were all good sleepers, but maybe that was coincidence). Maybe try 3 or 4 days of feeding every two / 2.5 hours during the day and see if that helps. Certainly in the early days I never let mine go beyond about 3 hrs in the day time without waking and feeding.

I always reckoned that they would need at least 6 feeds a day, so unless I gave them 5 between 7am and 7pm they were bound to wake up more than once in the night (ie between the other 7 and 7). So I always woke them for feeds during the day and had 2 bf babies sleep 12 hours by 12 weeks. Worked for us!

My 11 wk old ds feeds every 2 hours day and night at the moment, it's exhausting!
