I 'wouldn't mind' if she was hungry. She wakes any time between 12.30 and 3 for a feed and goes back to sleep in our bed for 2 hoursish and then when I try and put her back to her moses basket / move too much she wakes up for a tiny feed but is then totally awake -grunting/snuffling/smiling/shouting for about an hour and a half until the next feed when she is ready for sleep. Even when I don't try and move her she seems to be in a really light half sleep and v sensitive to movement - which makes co-sleeping a bit of a nightmare for us (she's OK).

Is this just her pattern? If so how can I break it?! I'm sure it could be worse( she hardly cries) but the problem is that DP gets up about 6am which is when we are just getting back to sleep.

what am I supposed to do with a grunting dancing shouting baby at 4am?!

She's still so tiny, I think it's just a case of her growing out of it I'm afraid to say. Perhaps try putting her back in her basket straight after the 12.30am feed rather than waiting a few hours? Often find they are more likely to be disturbed if you try and move them after a few hours rather than after a few minutes.
