Hi All,

I'm new to mumsnet and sure there will be lots with worse sleepers than mine so sorry in advance! But if there is even one mum who could help I would be so grateful... :-)

I have 2 boys, almost 4 yr old and a 1 year old (birthday yesterday). My youngest has never been a great sleeper, he was in SCBU when born as slightly premature and then in and out of hospital next few months with severe bronchiolitis, so was difficult to start any sort of routine....

To cut a long story short, he doesn't sleep any later than 5. At this time he usually wakes my eldest son aswell and we are then all up for the day (the only good thing is that the 1 yr old then goes back to bed till about 630).

I have tried everything. Controlled crying, night feed, dummy, calpol.

Anyone had anything similar? Just so tired every single day, it's relentless....

Thanks in advance xx

So does he wake, wake the rest of the household then go back to sleep? Do your DS's share a bedroom?

What time does he go to bed at and what other naps does he have during the day? Does he wake in the night at other times?

With more info, we might be able to suggest other things to try.

Dr Weissbluth recommends an earlier bed time to help with early waking. It has worked with my DD.
