She's two. She is doing my head in and atm I am about To snap. She will come into my bed but not anymore. I resent it hugely FGS-go to fucking sleep.

She doesn't understand between you ignoring and you going up - whatever you choose to do you need to stick to it.

It's like giving in to a tantrum and giving them a bag of sweets, the next time they will tantrum longer bacause they know you will give in.

Wear her out during the day

Orissiah · 18/10/2010 11:16

How was it in the end Does she do this every night? Does she need to drop her naps altogether so she's flat out ready to sleep at 7pm (wake her up at 7am or 7.30am too, to ensure a 7pm bedtime after a day of no naps).

yes, i was thinking same as orissiah - you probably need to drop her naps...

Hope things are going better. The winging drives you mad doesn't it.

Have you tried the rapid return method when you go up every time she is out of bed and put her back without getting into an argument and repeat repeat repeat!!!

It worked with DS2 after a couple of nights but didn't for DS1 - They are all so different.

I would offer to swap my DS1 for yours as we are at the end of our tethers with him!

Keep smiling and repeating 'its only a phase'!
