I have a 6 month old baby and a 4 year old son who has just started school, I would also like to point out I live in a small house with paper thin walls and a light sleeping child. Since my 6 month old had chicken pox a while back her sleeping is terrible, I know she'll be able to settle herself once she has a little shout but can't let her or she'll wake her brother... I have even tried sleeping with her in my bed but that doesn't keep her asleep either. Now my problem is, is that I've been surviving on little sleep and when I want just a little bit of sympathy my mum just laughs and says " it sounds like pay back time, you didn't sleep until you were 2" Well thank you very much mum, at least I was an only child and she got to catch up on sleep... What I'd love her to say is " poor you why don't I have DS on sat night so you can try and get DD in to a routine" Sorry about rant, feel a bit better now.

Oh, my mum does this too - 'Tell me about it - you didn't sleep through until you were four! I nearly died from tiredness etc.' It pees me off too but then I suddenly have a vision of myself in thirty years time saying, 'Tell me about it DS - I had to get up at 5.20am for years! I nearly died from tiredness'. Grin

Sorry you're having a hard time - this too shall pass etc.
