5 cups of tea (caffeine) and dark chocolate before 9am

not much to say apart from 5 month old waking about once an hour all night (wind, constipation and wanting to constantly feed for comfort i guess, his weight gain is fine) plus 2 year old also waking about 3 times
the amount of tea i have drunk already this morning to stay awake is impressive
no need to reply just thought i would type it...!
but if anyone wants a constantly grumpy husband i have one to give away

I dont want your grumpy husband but I know where you are with lack of sleep Grin

gecko is 3 and a half now and last night was a good night, she only woke three times

on a bad night could be every hour or so

I have no idea how to sort her but she is odd I think

I'm sure your little one will settle very soon Smile

no thank you I have more than enough with one of my own Angry
You poor thing :(

passionberry · 06/10/2010 09:13

It's so grim isn't it?

I am only on my second cup but will be up for a third . . . and I wish I had chocolate!

DD up every hour - at 3am I took her into my bed which usually helps but didn't last night (only improvement was that I didn't have to get out of bed each time!)

She is 24 weeks and I can only assume it is some kind of development thing as we seem to go through a bad patch every 6 weeks or so.

StealthPolarBear · 06/10/2010 09:13

Shock Trin that is bad - 3 times a night on a good night???
I'm guessing you've tried bribery? DS seemed to start sleeping better when there was promise of a chocolate button in the morning :o

StealthPolarBear · 06/10/2010 09:14

Can I just point out I don't recommend the choc button trick for a 5 month old!

holytoast · 06/10/2010 09:22

4 times up here with 25 week old, and countless snackbar feedings once in our bed from 4am. back at work in 4 weeks - have my coffee flask ready...oh, and see your grumpy husband, raise you a grumpy-wakes-at-the-slightest-sound-insomniac husband.

lavender11 · 06/10/2010 09:33

ok holytoast you sound on the same page as me. i am returning to work when baby 2 is 7 months old which sounds similar to your situation. i am totally and utterly dreading it as much for the sleeplessness issue which unlike my first does not seem to be getting any better with my second
on bad days seriously consider offering my husband whatever he wants to live in different houses, it just adds to the stress to have him on a sleeplessness short fuse. thank goodness for chocolate
