This is probably a silly question....
My 9wo dd sleeps for between 16 and 19 hours a day. I'm worried this may be too much but think I'm probably being neurotic, and should be grateful for the rest! I wonder though if too much daytime sleep is stopping her getting off in the evening.
She sleeps for 2-3 hours for each daytime nap and is a good sleeper at night, but cries quite a lot between 7 and 9pm- I have no idea why.
If I try to keep her awake longer during the day she gets grumpy, and it seems to make it harder not easier to get her down in the evening. She gets very obviously overtired during the day after 60-90 minutes awake and can settle herself for naps. In the evening she cries fairly inconsolably for up to 2 hours, cuddling seems to make her more not less cross. She is BF but refuses top ups of expressed milk despite being happy to take them at other times so she's not hungry, and she's obviously not overtired. We thought it might be colic but she doesn't seem to have any other symptoms and infacol has made no difference.
I would really like her to be happier in the evenings and can't work out what to do differently. I know I should be grateful that she sleeps so well during the day but wonder if that is the problem? Any advice appreciated :)
