Are you anaemic do you think?

biglips · 01/10/2010 17:33

ive been tested for that when my dd1 was born 6 yrs ago, but ive been so tired for the past 2 yrs since my dd2 was born, i know i need a new mattress but i slept thru last night but was still tired.

my dp still thinks im anaemic.

I have this, but only since I was ill earlier this year (pneumonia), and the Doctor has said it's side effects of my medication, combined with lower oxygen levels than usual.
I shake all the time too.

Could you have your oxygen levels checked?

Are you eating well, and not losing weight?

biglips · 01/10/2010 19:30

muggle - poor you about having pnuemonia.

Yes im eating well and im vverrrryy slowly losing weight as im a stone overweight but very tall so i carry it well.

As im sitting on here, i can feel my body is swaying a little bit.

what is the oxygen levels? does that mean im not breathing in enough?

OP posts:
muggglewump · 01/10/2010 19:34

I have asthma, so my oxygen levels drop, and that contributes to my symptoms, even when I think I'm fine, so it may be worth checking.

Are you sure you are eating enough if you are trying to lose weight?

Is it just chronic tiredness?

Do you sleep well, or toss and turn, or have so much on your mind that you don't quite fall into a deep sleep?

HelenLG · 01/10/2010 19:55

Have you're blood pressure checked as well. I suffer with dizziness and blurred vision when I stand up to quickly and it because my blood pressure drops when I stand up.

My doc actually measured it when sat and then stood, her advised was amazing..."Get up more slowly..."

biglips · 02/10/2010 16:28

Helen - I do suffer from high blood pressure but never had medication as just came off the pill that was causing it.

i dont get dizzy or blurred vision but its worse today as ive had the tipsyness feel for a while now.

Muggle - Ive been having money probs for the past 2 yrs but now its ok-ish (my dp is self employed) but it did affected my sleep big time but now its ok, but i dont think i fall into a deep sleep cos im still shattered when i wake up and i have between 7 - 8 hrs sleep. I cant nap anymore for some reason as i lie there awake so i just rested.

Im not trying to lose any weight.

It maybe chronic tiredness. Ive been going to the keep fit classes that helps me to sleep.

Does tiredness make you feel drunk?

chronice tireness can make you feel dizzy. but i have also found that due to having low blood pressure i can be in the range of normal ironlevels (just) but benefit from having iron rich food and multi vitamins when i get like this. IYWSIM, i am not technically too low in iron but too low for me.

might be worth taking a supliement/iron rich stuff for a while.

dietstartstmoz · 02/10/2010 20:30

My DS2 is now 3 yrs old, and I had this for the first 2 yrs and it was just down to exhaustion, but I had it frequently, most days and it was awful. Get yourself checked out though, but chronic exhaustion is draining and I had that swaying/dizzyness with mine.

biglips · 02/10/2010 20:41

yes ive started to take iron tabs since 2 days ago and yes we dont eat enough iron.

ill start buying more iron stuff twice a week and see how i am in a few weeks time.

i look soo knackered that people thinks my dd2 is waking me up but she had been sleeping thru from age 6 weeks old. And i hate the way my eyes are now as i have purple rings permantly under my eyes Sad as thats what i get for not sleeping properly.

I know im not depressed as i dont cry but i just feeling flat at times and got no energy.

Please someone give me a Durcell battery to charge up!!! Grin

Bigleps you defo need to go to the doctors because it's not normal, and although it could be due to tiedness / stress they'll want to run some tests to rule everything else out first.

biglips · 26/01/2011 21:14

well im back and ive got a new mattress which is so comfy and dp is back in our bed...the memory foam mattress is excellent as i cannot feel Dp getting in/out of bed! Grin

and also ive had tests - all clear

BUT im still so exhausted...as i feel like im dragging my body around and having no energy as i feel achy all over. Esp going foods shopping for an hour in Asda. Im totally wiped out when i get home and ive got a 2 yrs old to look after.

Also, it is affecting my social skills/life and concentration, as ive only been out 3 times in 2.5 yrs as i cant be arse as its too much!.

i need to channel my stress elsewhere.

im taking sleeping tabs atm which is 3.75mg of Zimovane LS (Zopiclone)......it not really keeping me asleep lately as i feel tipyness again.

im thinking of taking up jogging....or am i mad??
