6 month old waking up to feed after months of sleeping through

Help!

My 6 month old has been waking up every 3 hours at least during the night and won't settle generally without a feed. This is after months of sleeping through until 5amish for months!!

Was feeling very smuggish and all....Sad

is this normal?

Is it for keeps? Shock

Any advice please?

I am relying more on the dummy to get her to sleep as stopped feeding her to sleep around the time this waking started.

Am absolutely wrecked with exhaustion!

Sorry. meant to ask whether you think she is addicted to the dummy now so when she wakes up and the dummy is not in her mouth she can't self-settle back to sleep?

Could be the dummy (my advice is get rid now rather than later but they're all different)
Could be needing more food - solids?
Basically children just DO go through short phases of waking in the night until they're about 5 or so, so maybe there isn't anything specific to read into it.
THe ever-sleefing child is a myth. Grin

Oh god I hope it is a short phase. She "only" woke twice last night, and only fed one of those times so I'm seeing a light!

Must start a thread re weaning off the dummy.

Thanks.

argh, mine has started doing this too! She's eating loads and not drinking so much in the day and I wondered if that was causing it somehow. I've tried giving her more milk in the daytime, but she refuses, and spends the WHOLE night latched onto me instead!

mine is doing the same too,she started sleeping through the night at 2months,now she is 6months and has been waking up at least once,i believe they have to go through these stages, was surprised she even slept through the night at all

its just a phase,it will pass

i have found out that if i tire her during the day,she has problmes settling down, have you tried the bath, then feeding ?it works also for me,

good luck
