LO is 6mo soon and has gone back to waking up every 3 hours!!
We came through the 4 month sleep regression - or so I thought - and she went back to sleeping from about 8pm to 8am with only one waking for a feed (at about 2 or 3am) but for the last week and a half she has started to wake more and more frequently and the last few nights it has been 3 hourly from the time she goes down - no long stretch at all.
What could be causing this? We have started weaning - could this be affecting her sleep? She has been teething on and off, but it has never really affected her sleep that badly. SHe is very distractible throughout the day atm, and I find it hard to get her to b/feed when out and about as she is just too interested in her surroundings. I think she therefore isn't getting enough milk in the day and is making up for it at night, but obviously can't be sure how much she is taking.
Am now thining of starting to introduce some formula (have been toying with the idea for some weeks actually as the BF in public is getting so hard and I am not enjoying it as I am constantly trying to get her back on when she de-latches time and time again!) and I was going to gradually move the daytime feeds over to formula, keeping only the early morning and bedtime feeds as BF. would this help? does anyone have any experience of this? I have also posted on the BFing board.
