My 8 and a half week old wont sleep unless being held or in our bed and I dont want her sleeping in our bed as i know this increases the risk of cot death. has anyone tried the amby natures nest? I was thinking of trying it but they aren't cheap so don't want to buy one if they're no good. Thanks for any replies.

We had one and DS2 loved it, only woke once a night from birth pretty much.

Where are you? I have one if you wanted to try it out.

Ours worked a treat for colicky DD - I would gently rock/bounce her off to sleep in it. NB even though they say it's suitable for longer, I had to stop using it once she started rolling onto her front in it at about 5 months or so.

SAFE cosleeping reduced the risk of cot death.

I have hear a lot of good things about the Amby, but it is a lot of money if it doesn't work.

Second that crunchy I get so frustrated with the misconception that co-sleeping is dangerous and increases cot death, if the guidelines are followed all the evidence suggests there is a DECREASED risk of cot death.

I had one and it was great. Friend with twins swears it saved her in the first year.

Buy an amby, my baby was exactly the same and now he sleeps in his all night (apart from feeds). He now prefers to sleep there than between us. He even goes down for a nap in it while still awake during the day sometimes. I love it. It actually looks so comfy that I would like one for myself Smile.
Buy one from ebay and then sell it again when you are finished. They hold their value very well so you will not loose much at all.

how long would an amby last? DD is 4 months but only weighs 12 pounds and I would like to try one for her as since moving to cotbed has gone from bad to worse and its been 3 weeks.... do people use them for the first year?

This one looks good too and recommended up to 15kg. www.moffii.com/acatalog/Cocoon.html
