Does anyone else regularly sleep-talk / walk, or is that just me?!

I kid you not, its my third week of it now and although poor DH has been really good, I think he is a little fed up of me running around the bed 'saying get the f*cking spiders off me' and the such like. DH's personal favourite was last Monday night when I opened our bedroom window and shouted 'you can park here'. Blush I have always talked in my sleep and occasionally walked in my sleep, but it used to be just once a month - around that time of the month. Any ideas why this would be worse at the moment? Is anyone else as odd as me?

I once sat up in bed and said loudly "Look, it is an HONOUR to supervise me whilst I am having a piss".

There, I am much odder than you.

I once woke a hospital ward up by chasing the taratula away from under my bed.

What a legend, that sure beats me! I haven't woken anyone up outside of our house yet, but give me time. Smile

Thinking about it, it is probably related to my cycle.

I was worse when I was pregnant - could that be it?

ItalyLovingMummy · 11/08/2010 19:32

I don't know, I have been off the pill for 12 weeks now and ttc, but I did do a test last weekend, which was negative (although I have had morning sickness for 2 weeks too strangely). You are right about the pregnancy thing though as when I was pregnant with DS my sleeptalking/walking was nuts! Apparently last night's episode was me hitting DH on the arm and saying 'stop putting it over my face' - what the heck was that all about?!!

I can be a little violent at times too Blush

Do another test!

I think I better!

I've done it regularly since I was a child.

Have even found myself outside on occasion (HATE when that happens - freaks me out)

I talk almost every night. DH says he is disappointed the nights I don't talk to him (he always turns his light out after I've gone to sleep - which tends to make me sit upright, eyes wide open and say something odd, which I have NO memory of the next day).

I have a very unsettled sleep generally though and on average have at least one terrifying nightmare per week. Anyone else also get nightmares?

Not found a cause for my weird sleeping habits yet, but a very unsettled night often results in a migraine the next day (lucky me)

FluffyDonkey · 12/08/2010 13:51

PS not found a link to time of the month either, seeing as it's most nights Blush. Not been pregnant yet but will TTC soon and I hope it doesn't get worse!

So far the worst I have done to DH was I once jumped onto him (no kidding) and started wrestling with him. In his sleep he thought he was being attacked (well, er he was) and kicked out. I woke up to find myself on the floor with a bemused DH looking at me.

Thanks Fluffy, I will tell DH so he will feel he isn't on his own with my weird goings on! I actually have had nightmares the last two nights and very vivid with friends in them too - its very disconcerting when you remember bits in the morning and it feels so real too.

I do it all the time, DH has recorded me before now.
He can have whole conversations with me when I am asleep. Although he normally wakes me up when he starts laughingHmm

DD1 does it too, she sleep walks as well on occasion, but chats away quite happily when fast asleep.

ItalyLovingMummy · 14/08/2010 09:03

I sometimes find myself in another room in the house and then I sort of snap out of it, put the light on and then I think what am I doing here..... Its funny what you are saying about your DD1 because my DS has started talking (and laughing!) in his sleep and will be going from a cot into a bed soon, so that should be interesting! Could be two of us wandering round soon, that will help DH's sanity! Smile
