Talk to me about the 8 month sleep regression

My DS is approaching 8 months; is teething terribly and has never slept well but thongs are just going from bad to worse. He's waking up at least once an hour and I am shattered!

Add to it DH's snoring (I've just asked him to go sleep in the spare room) and I could murder someone!. Can anyone direct me to some good Reading material about the sleep regression? I'm mot looking for something that tell me what to do, rather just somehing that explores the phenomenon. Also would like to hear about your experiences.

Ask Moxie is brilliant on sleep regressions - her comments threads alone make me feel better, because there's always people with worse sleepers than mine.

Ours was fairly hellish, shall come back and expand some other time, for now just leaving the link.

We got zero sleep for the first year and a half with dd, it was hell, you def did the right thing sending dh to spare room, you can't put up with snoring too, I did the same thing, it saved my sanity.

Our second baby has been no problem, it's so much easier, he's teething badly too now but he just wimpers a bit in his sleep.

TBH my sleep is still a bit messy from our experience with dd which is why I'm up right now! Better go try and get some sleep.
