and left my 7 month old dd to it to see what would happen and she only woke for one middle of the night feed at 12.25am instead of her usual two! Whoopeeee!
Now I'm not sure where to go from here should I try and keep to only feeding her once in the night or just go with the flow and feed her like usual if she wakes? It's all so confusing!

I have the same thing - but with a 7 week old! I posted a similar thread not so long ago. I didn;t understand why my baby would sleep longer if I just left her?I put her to bed at 7pm, and she didn;t wake til 4am, but if I dream feed her, she still wakes at 4am just the same!

She did that 3 nights in a row, before starting to wake progressively earlier, until I decided to start the dream feed again, as she was starting to need 2 night feeds once more.

Now though, she's not all that bothered about the dreamfeed, and I'm tempted to just leave her again. I'm confused to, but I'm too much of a wimp to drop the dreamfeed just in case I'm up twice again.

How sad am I? The things we'll do just to get a bit of extra shut eye (but who can blame us?!?)

Are you gona carry on for a bit?

I'm going to try this with my 4month old tonight. He sleeps from 6.30pm and most often is still flat out at 11pm, then wakes 2 hourly......fingers crossed I'm as lucky!

You go girl. I think I should try again. But I always get to the end of the day, and tot up the amount of milk she's had, then think 'That's not enough - she'll never last!' then chicken out and feed her as usual.
