Suggestions please in Italy or Austria

We are wanting to go on first holiday with 3 children - 12, 10 and 8 and thought we would go to either Italy or austria. Does anyone have any suggestions - we would love to go to a hotel/chalet close to slopes that have good apres-ski things for kids to do. Thanks

Stayed here www.unterschwarzach.at/index.php?id=57&L=2in Feb 08 with DS(5), great with kids as it's right on the slopes. Ski school right outside the door plus 3 short lifts, floodlit skiing (with jumps etc)and a free tubing slope each evening. Walking distance to 3 gondolas. I plan to return this year. It's in Hinterglemm www.saalbach.com/620.0.html, the hotel will do a free collection from Zell am See station (direct line from Salzburg) if you don't want to drive.

alpbach in austria is supposed to be a beautiful, family-friendly, good for all levels resort.

We are going to Austria (Zell am See) for new year
