Which Snowsports Travel Insurer Are You Using?

Spouse and adult son are going skiing to Zermatt, Switzerland in early January. They’re flying to Geneva with Easyjet and have booked accommodation separately. They have their own ski and snowboard equipment.

My husband has travel insurance (including Winter sports) through our bank.

My son doesn’t have this facility with his bank and doesn’t have a credit card.

Does anyone have recommendations for travel insurance which includes Winter sports and possible Covid cancellations? Thank you.

We used dog tag in the pre covid world. Don’t know if they include covid now but we’re always good for winter sports cover.

@Insertfunnyname - thank you for your reply. Unfortunately Dog Tag has temporarily suspended all new sales of insurance policies!

@insertfunnyname: It does seem that there are so many ‘get out’ clauses for Covid with insurers now.

I was looking at the winter sports travel company Inghams and they recommend their partner for insurance ‘Campbell Irvine Direct’. My son hasn’t made any bookings through Inghams but I think he’s going to take out insurance with Campbell Irvine as you can get cover for your own equipment and I couldn’t see that on the Easyjet site.
