Austria or Germany ski in April

Can anyone please recommend a hotel in Austria or Germany?

We'd like to drive there and some of the family also need ski lessons.

Any recommendations gratefully received.

You need to go high to be snowsure, ideally with a glacier, so Germany probably less suitable. Try Zell am See/Kaprun or Obertauern, perhaps Solden if you are good skiers.

We're off to Serfaus in Austria in April. This will be our 5th time there. We've done it once before in April and the pistes were fine.

For Austria and Germany, always Kinderhotels. Once you try them, all others pale into comparison.

Yes we ❤️ Kinder Hotels!

We always go to Zell/Kaprun/Leogang/Saalbach region for Easter hols as the Kitzsteinhorn glacier offers good (if crowded) skiing if the snow is bad. We self cater but use Ski Dome Oberschneider for the kids’ lessons and rentals as it’s quite good value and lessons are good. For a posh hotel you could look at the Forsthofgut in Leogang. They are really lovely! I find the kinderhotels a little overrated for the price.
