Kids ski lessons in Les Gets

Anyone got any good recommendations for children's ski lessons in Les Gets? We will not be in peak ski hols so I'm wondering whether usual group lessons will be running? I have one age5yrs complete beginner and one 9yr on her 3rd week of lessons.

We used this British company in Les Gets.. they were great.

We used ESi and they were pretty good. Kids happy which was the main thing and they love skiing now.

Watch the cost of the English schools. Their 2 hour, 6 day price is £220 whereas the same hours with English speaking ESI instructors is €145. A private lesson for 3 hours with ESF for three people is €160, with SnowIbstitute it's £230!:

The ESF group classes are not for everyone but I highly rate their private lessons for technique.

And if you take a look at the other thread about Snowboarding, Mint Snowboarding are the best in the Portea de Soleil.

My older DD would be fine with ESF but it's the 5yr old I'm not sure but may try 360i based on some other feedback.

We're using 360 for small child for the first time this year - if you're heading out after half-term then will report back!

I've used 360 in the past for private lessons and found them great. Julia, who manages the organising side of things for them is English, so that helps too if you need to discuss anything in detail.

Also - we've being skiing PdS for a number of years and from the small bits of interaction I've seen with small children and ESF/360/BASS at LG over that time the instructors do really seem to look after the "bebes" in their care.
Now, we just need some more snow...

Thanks moonlight we are not going till mid march so yes to report back if you can the youngest is quite a tricky character at times so I want it to be a positive experience so we all get a holiday!

I know that feeling - ours is swinging between "I'm going to beat you all down the black runs" and "I don't like steep things"

Still, there's always the ice rink.

I've been unable to book private 1:1 lessons in advance with 360 or ESF for my DH& older DD so we hoping we can arrange something in resort - have booked our 5yr old beginner in group lessons with 360i hoping she will be ok - 4wks and counting now

Oops - just seen this now - our half-term was this week so only home today. Went really well from the off - although if I hear any more about Jerome, Remi and Luc and how fun they are....
Small child went from rank beginner to skiing down a proper blue (Gentiane - long, fairly easy but with some steeps) with the class by the end of the week. Came down Violette and Reine des Pres with us on Fri afternoon too, so hopefully can manage some touring next time.

Will keep fingers' crossed you get a cancellation or two for lessons. I went for a group one this time as couldn't get a private either, our instructor (Fred) really pushed the level up, but in the right way IYSWIM?

Hols were great - despite there being no snow in over a week(11-13 degrees most of the time), the resort kept the pistes fairly much up to scratch - with more snow due this evening (typical!).

Thanks moonlight glad you had a good time even if warm and light on snow. We have -3wks to go so hopefully some more snow will fall.

Still here 😀 Leave sat. Having great time even if snow a tad light in places but can still just about ski back to the village of Les Gets. Youngest is doing really well in group of 5 kids aged 4-6yrs she has now skied back to village 4x after being beginner at start week -but I'm not so impressed by the mostly non-English speaking smoking instructor (he has been smoking on the lifts with the kids!) but DD is happy and she can be a tough cookie. The ski famillie staff we have observed (we not staying with them) have been excellent and lots of their aged 3-6yr old "charges" are in the 360 lessons. Older DD and DH had 3x private lesson with 360 and they have been excellent they both come on loads. Had 8cm fresh snow in top bowl last night very needed it's been poor season they said. Not looking too good for Easter but more snow is forcast Sat eve.

Yes, definitely probably not the best snow I've see but I'd still rather have not much snow as opposed to the slopes turning into a skating rink (did that one year - was not fun)

Hope there's another drop tonight so you get to play in powder before you leave.

Yes rather snow dust than ice! I learnt to ski many many years ago on ice in Austria not fun
