Removal of FB/Twitter Links on sensitive threads

Are you intending to remove these links please from Relationships, Bereavement and Miscarriage? Many of us expressed disquiet recently that seeing these links next to posts with sensitive information felt incongruous and offensive. You said then that you could see our point and that you would consider their removal.

I also assume you don't want to encourage Mumsnetters to share those threads with a wider audience, when it must be implicit that the posters would prefer that their words were not linked to these other sites. I entirely accept that people can cut and paste if they so wish, but I hope you will actively discourage such actions on those boards. Removal of these buttons and a message from you to exercise some caution with threads of this nature will, I think, go some way to resolving the concerns many of us have.

Thank you.

Hello
Um, the truth is I don't know about this but I will find someone who does.
(Just wanted you to know that someone from MNHQ had seen this anyway)

Hi all - yes we are removing the links from
bereavement, miscarrage, mental health, relationships and special needs. Should be done in the next day or two.

Thanks so much for your input.
