Threads not staying hidden.

Under various names and here and in site stuff, I havent had an answer to this one yet?

Some threads, not all, and I have no idea what triggers it, will become unhidden after a time or someone replies or whatever. Tis very annoying!

I am using firefox, two different computers now, and am logged in all the time.

Any ideas?

Sorry again ThisIs, this problem is turning into a riddle wrapped in an enigma.

Some questions to check I'm not assuming anything too silly:

How do you hide a thread? By clicking on its title then clicking "hide this thread", or by clicking the "hide" link next to the thread in active conversations.

When Active Conversations reloads do you see a message at the top saying "We have hidden thread..." (with the thread's title?

When you have hidden the thread, does it appear in your list of hidden threads? (Go to customise, scroll down to "Ignore topics in Active Conversations", click the "here" link and the thread should be in the list of thread exclusions.

Cheers ThisIs - it's looking like this is a proper bug rather than some config funny. I'm going to do some fiddling with the code so that I can see what's happening in a bit more detail.

One more question: do you ever "unhide" threads (from that "ignore topics list)?

Sorry, sorry again, lots of breakage with the whole talk reverts to classic thing. This - so I've been keeping an eye on the number of threads you are hiding, and it only increases. This is good as it means we're not losing the records anywhere, but makes it more vexing that you are seeing these threads.

When they reappear, is it in clusters or one at a time? So if you've hidden three threads together do they reappear together?

Umm, I havent noticed actually I just thnk grr that WAS hidden!! LOL I will keep an eye out.
