Afraid I'm not sure which thread you're talking about but, if a thread suddenly disappears like that, it's a pretty safe bet that:
a) it's hugely libellous
OR
b) it was started by a troll/is rightly or wrongly accusing someone of being a troll
OR
c) it was pulled at the OP's request for hugely sensitive personal reasons
