Mumsnet offline tonight for around 30 minutes at around 11.30

Mumsnet will be offline tonight (Monday 7th December) for around 30 minutes. This is to allow us to perform a major hardware upgrade. I can't tell you the exact time yet, but it will likely be around 11:30pm.

If all goes well you shouldn't notice any differences once it is back online - it should be noticeably faster during subsequent busy periods but that probably won't be appreciable at around midnight when things are getting quieter anyway. If anything does seem amiss then please do post on this thread.

Anybody that wants to know the very second that it is back online can add "[email protected]" on MSN for an instant message.

Just to spook you even more, it's actually started. However, have come up with a cunning plan (careful typing there) which allows everything to carry on as normal for a bit whilst some of the stuff happens...

Oh bugger. Just realised it's an A to Z thing, and I am indeed on S (or T, now), but what I didn't previously realise is that it does A to Z (upper case) and then does a to z (lower case) as well. So we're not even half way yet...
