Carrie's on You and Yours (R4) visiting Lapland UK (plus one of her children and one of Justine's, so should be amusing) and Justine got the short straw is on The Daily Politics talking about 'the Mumsnet election' (BBC2).

Justine was on The Daily Politics show, on BBC2 earlier. Very brief, and touched mostly on the role of women, MN and the perceived U-turn on childcare vouchers.

Thanks for the link, LeninGrad.

Justine is rapidly earning the ubiquitous tag. However, during the course of her numerous media appearances, she has firmly resisted the attempts to pigeonhole women that the meedja love so much. Give that woman a jammy dodger.

PS: Dress is Boden Vintage Tea Dress, Hassled.

Justine looks great, lovely dress

morningpaper · 20/11/2009 13:53

and obviously she makes lot of good and intelligent points

Boco · 20/11/2009 13:56

The interviewer is a little peculiar isn't she? All that 'well we could talk about this for ages but it's a big news day'. Justine did v. well - I like the fact she moved it away from us all only being interested in mum talk and actually having wider opinions.

FlorenceandtheWashingMachine · 20/11/2009 13:57

Too late, MP. Too late. You are forever tarred with the shallow S&B brush.

JustineMumsnet · 20/11/2009 15:30

Ok some news and gossip:

On the plus side - I met and shook hands with ROY HATTERSLEY (i'm saying that in a Dermot off the X-factor introducing Whitney Houston voice)

On the slightly more worrying side - interviewer who turned up from Sunday Times this morning - they told me they didn't know who it was going to be yesterday - was... ahem... Daisy Goodwin.

Am sure she'll be decent though [nervous emoticon]

Thanks for the tip about the knee-scratching, will work on that - not sure what I can do about being knackered-looking though...

eek!

Didn't notice the knee scratching, and thought you looked fine, Justine.

RustyBear · 20/11/2009 15:46

Just thought I'd look up the Daisy Goodwin threads again, out her name into Search & got...

'Error on Page'

Obviously Tech has not forgiven......

The Daisy Goodwin live chat is still here and the other threads (which prompted the chat). Not sure why your search is playing up Rustybear - let us know if you're still having probs.

RustyBear · 20/11/2009 16:05

I got it in the end, it came up when I refreshed - was just amused by the thought that maybe even the MN servers didn't want anything to do with Daisy...

FlorenceandtheWashingMachine · 20/11/2009 16:12

I've heard that Daisy Goodwin has a very forgiving nature.

I was right about Boden dress

You looked lovely Justine. DH commented on how normal you seem (sub-text in DH parlance: despite the fact you run a website which I frequent...)
