We are a bunch of rich, London-based, over-educated married ladies and no mistake

Based on those earnings and holidays stats we're going to be seeing a lot of ads for caviar and diamonds on here.

nannynick · 17/11/2009 21:32

I'm wondering if 0% means Zero replies... or it means less than 1% replied. Interesting to see the percentages though... I am one of 2% of one category.

TheFoosa · 17/11/2009 21:46

I really don't belong here

oh well wtf

LadyBlaBlah · 17/11/2009 21:48

yeah - but did any of the interesting people on here actually do the survey?

Self-selecting sample I imagine.

PartOfTheHumphreysGroup · 17/11/2009 21:48

Wow I just need another dc, to downgrade my choice of supermarket and earn less and I'll be the ultimate mumsnetter!

TrillianAstra · 17/11/2009 21:48

I actually thought I fit in better than I thought.

at morningpaper 'that's why we are HERE'

Ponders · 17/11/2009 21:51

13% have family incomes over £100K?

That'll feck up the politicians' desire to woo us then

(When was this survey? I didn't do it)

Deadworm · 17/11/2009 21:51

So how do you get to the census results page other than by clicking on policywonk's link? I can't see it on homepage.

elliott · 17/11/2009 21:51

I seem to be disappointingly typical, apart from where I live (only 1 in 50 live in the NE) and the number of holidays and amount I spend on them

Ponders · 17/11/2009 21:53

& 58% spend less than 2 hours online daily? Yeah, right

elliott · 17/11/2009 21:54

I think people must be lying about their income. Or perhaps it just feels like everyone else is on £100k + !!

policywonk · 17/11/2009 21:54

dead, go to Active Convos and scroll down - it's in the 'Mumsnet Latest' box on the r-hand side. That's where I found it anyway.

OP posts:
Ponders · 17/11/2009 21:56

70% I mean - even less likely

(I only added up 30mins-1hr & 1hr-2hrs before)

Out & proud - I am online for way over 2 hours a day, AND I read the Mail online every day (but also the Guardian, & I would never ever pay cash money for the Mail)

Ponders · 17/11/2009 21:58

And only 31% admit to visiting here every day

(This census was anonymous, wasn't it? People's MILs & partners weren't sent the information later?)

ABetaDad · 17/11/2009 22:05

Apparently 2% of us are men which is 104 out of 5200. That is a surprise as I cant think of more than 15 blokes on here off the top of my head.

The worrying bit though is that only 1% of us are visiting as Dads - I know there are a couple of male nanies and child minders which makes me wonder what the other 50 blokes are on here doing.

Swedes2Turnips0 · 17/11/2009 22:06

It's a shame if News International journalists were given the results before they were released to Mumsnetters.

I read about our voting preferences in the Times over lunch. It would have been nicer to have recieved those results on here. Especialy as I was one of the 5% of Mumsnetters who bothered to record my details.

Flame · 17/11/2009 22:08

at the average income.

You can tell on the high profile webchats that there are not too many posters -certainly not in the hundreds of thousands. There may be many members, but prolific posters are not that numerous

TheCrackFox · 17/11/2009 22:17

I really thought there would have been more Scottish Mumsnetters.

muggglewump · 17/11/2009 22:18

MmeLindt, we went at the end of September and had a fantastic time.

Mybox · 17/11/2009 22:25

Interesting results - how many members of mumsnet are there so we can know the % of the population who responded.

blueywhite · 17/11/2009 22:28

Question 21: And, when you do visit the site, how long is an average visit?

I never leave 1%
