i can't go directly to a post from their name in threads i'm on

blimey! that subject doesn't make much sense..sorry!

i'll try again..

in the 'thread i'm on' bit, for some of the threads i can jump straight to the newest post by clicking on their name but on others ie my post-natal one, i get dumped at the beginning of the thread and then have to go to last page etc

i hope you can sort this BigTech, did i ever tell you that i think you're wonderful?!

hi tech... you've obviously tried something and its getting there so thank you but its still a bit wonky!

eg if i click on the last poster's name in 'threads i'm on'. it will take me to the correct place on the page initially but as it finishes loading the page, it then jumps alot further up in the thread.

also, if i click on the thread title, it will show me the thread as pages (this is how i've got it set up on my customise page) BUT if i click on the poster's name (as above) it will show it as one long thread ie without pages

i've tried classic, new etc but all seem to have same effect

after further investigation, the jumping is only happening on my post natal threads. the post it shows at the top of my window is the 50th one from the bottom. ie bottom (newest one is number one and penultimate one is number two etc until you get to the 50th one)

i hope this helps and that i haven't counted 50 posts (twice) for nothing!

re the losing pagination thing..is that a permanent thing now?

And yes, the pagination thing is permanent... until we can work out a cleverer solution.
