Why are my details at the top of each thread?

I'm sure this is a new thing, but it is very possible it has always been thus and I've not noticed, but at the top of every thread I look at I see:

My registration number/[email protected]/myusername

Which is handy and all if you are trolling namechanging and therefore avoiding "is that you, ucm" comments, but it is a bit odd. I can't decide if I'm comfortable with it.
