I'm accepting Eccentrica's apology, if only because I think she has one of my favourite names!

Am well hard, me. Not a hint of fluffiness.

MerlinsBeard · 05/10/2009 16:30

4.5 years with this name (and various seasonal adaptions)

AMumInScotland · 05/10/2009 16:45

Mine is thoroughly uninspired and lacking in imagination, but, well, it suits me...

In truth, I've changed it a little now and then for seasonal purposes, but always felt like I was wearing someone else's shoes and couldn't wait to get back to normal.

It's not twee... just dull!

twirlymum · 05/10/2009 16:46

I hadn't looked at the site before I joined. My name is very boring. How do you change it?
Won't people who I have chatted with think I have disappeared?
Any suggestions for a new name?

Poledra · 05/10/2009 16:47

Who the hell is Stewie Griffin??

AMumInScotland · 05/10/2009 16:57

Stewie Griffin in the baby in "Family Guy" - he's very odd, and tries to kill people sometimes. At least that's what I've picked up without actually watching the show (DS likes it, but he's 15 ...)

AMumInScotland · 05/10/2009 17:00

Twirlymum - if you go to MyMUmsnet and log in you'll be able to change your talk nickname. But don't worry about being boring...

If you want people to still recognise you, it's best to only change a part of your name - so Twirly-something would still look like you.

But I'm not the one to suggest new and interesting names

Mamazon · 05/10/2009 17:02

I dont really see myself as having a "mum" name though.

moosemama · 05/10/2009 17:18

There's not even a remotely fluffy reason for my name. Its actually the result a longstanding family joke from waaaay before I had children.

I like it, its me, I'm keeping it. 'Nuff said!

SpookyMadMummy · 05/10/2009 17:33

I have been spookymadmummy since 2006. I bought a nickname in the auction but I am damned if I am gonna change now!

SpookyMadMummy · 05/10/2009 17:35

That should be I bought an alternative nickname..

MummyTheQueenOfDarkness · 05/10/2009 17:49

i am not changing mine apart from the seasonal changes.I have had the same name for 3 yrs now and if i changed it, i would forget who i was ![ mummylin ]

MaMight · 05/10/2009 17:55

Reporting for duty.

Long time Mumsnetter, short term Ma-er.

I also had a spell as MumRahhh or something similar but I think I posted about something embarrassing and name changed.
