midnightexpress · 29/09/2009 20:39

What on earth are you all going to talk to Will Young about?

pluto · 29/09/2009 20:42

Tessa Jowell please. She could tell us all about how the Olympics are going to leave a lasting sporting legacy for the whole of and get our kids off the couch

Actually, I like Tessa and I think she'd be an interesting woman to get on here.

squeaver · 29/09/2009 20:57

yes to K&P. But The Beeney would be better.

Another vote for Claudia W.

We neeeeeed a fashion person for us S&B girls. How about Lisa Armstrong at Times?

midnightexpress · 29/09/2009 20:59

Well then how about Vivienne Westwood or one of the other designers. We could have a very interesting conversation about size zero and whatnot. That would be interesting.

squeaver · 29/09/2009 21:06

Yes that would be good but ALSO high street advice and best shapes for different sizes etc etc. And maybe even the inevitable school run dress/coat with a hood/walk to school hat discussions.

SixtyFootDoll · 29/09/2009 21:09

I love Wil Young
but I dont think I would have much to say to him tbh.

mrsruffallo · 29/09/2009 21:14

Vivienne Westwood
Kate Moss

Lulumama · 29/09/2009 21:37

Ina May Gaskin

MagNacarta · 29/09/2009 21:38

David Mitchell - for fun

Janet Street-Porter - because she's brilliant and I'd like to prove to her that Mum's can be interesting and witty too.

Dawn French - she'd be interesting too

Robert Webb - hasn't he got a baby?

Lulumama · 29/09/2009 21:40

and / or Beverley Beech from AIMS please

morningpaper · 29/09/2009 22:04

David Mitchell is quite tasty although I think we might scare him

He might know lots about pensions though

Does Will Young know about pensions?

NorkyButNice · 29/09/2009 22:09

Will Young [swoon emoticon]...he's only gay because he hasn't met me you know.

(joke)

(kind of)

I saw the Leave Right Now video on tv the other day and it still makes me come over all funny.

Kirstie is my girl crush. I love her almost as much as Will. She's only straight because she hasn't met me you know...

Cadelaide · 29/09/2009 22:46

David Mitchell is really clever.

solo · 29/09/2009 22:53

Definitely Dawn French, she's brill-yant she is!!!

Cerened · 29/09/2009 22:56

ok, to you random will young fans- i have an authentic signed photo on my desk. actually i think i have two. don't ask! how about we auction them somehow?

Countingthegreyhairs · 29/09/2009 23:00

Yes to Viviene Westwood

And as it's party conference season why not:

Shirley Williams?? Anne Begg?? Samantha Cameron??

The latter too would have interesting things to say about carers' rights or rights for the disabled or chronically ill.

I would love to be able to pose a few questions to Camilla Batmanghelidj of Kids Company. I really admire her. We could ask her about disaffected youth, anti-social behaviour (currently very topical), dyslexia and Iran.

If all of the above are too worthy, how about Stephen Fry (disappearing species and disappearing kilos) or Gareth Malone (singing, boys, education, music) who has a strong following on here ???

Countingthegreyhairs · 29/09/2009 23:01

Um, sorry, the latter two [must get some sleep emoticon]

llareggub · 29/09/2009 23:15

This probably would never happen, but I'd love to chat with the Duchess of Devonshire. I've read, and re-read volumes of letters between the Mitford sisters and I like to think that they would have been mumsnetters had they been born in a different century. Debo's letters are witty, cutting and she knows everyone. She'd be fascinating, and the only acceptable hon.

midnightexpress · 29/09/2009 23:24

Oh yes llareggub, good call. I was staring over the sea at Inchkenneth just last week

I would love Matthew Wright to come on, I would like to know how he can be so keen on Janey Lee Grace being on his show about green issues yet be so closed minded about other things.

Prunerz · 30/09/2009 09:14

Nothing says 'by parents for parents' better than a gay talent-show winner

Just messin'. I think Lulu's suggestion of Beverley Beech from AIMS is an excellent one.

Mariella Frostrup - for a dose of DTMFA?
Juliet Stevenson - interesting person

Is there a psychiatrist who deals with the (normal) changes in women after motherhood? I have about a million questions about that.

Ooh ooh Christina Hardyment - wrote that excellent book about child care traditions over the centuries.

NormaStanleyFletcher · 30/09/2009 10:04

Justin Fletcher - just so I can watch the inevitable love-fest that web chat would be
