Why have the advertissement moved?

Mine are all over the place and I have to scroll down quite a bit to see my threads "I'm on" now. What can I do to get it back to normal?

OP posts:
gorionine · 04/09/2009 10:11

Active threads still on the ads though!

Yes, my threads I'm on has gone back to having the threads at the top of the page but the adverts at the side still impinge on the text. A lot of threads are completely unreadable now. If the advert is in a solid box of colour, it completely wipes out the text of the post.

claricebeansmum · 04/09/2009 10:13

Text through ads is driving me nutty.

Dumbledoresgirl · 04/09/2009 10:15

Has someone pressed the red alert button at MNHQ yet? The inability to read posts is making sitting here virtually pointless. I might actually have to go and make some beds in a moment!

anniebigpants · 04/09/2009 10:15

Phew, thought id changed something on mine to make it go like that. Glad everyone elses is the same, its so annoying, you can read messages properly.

NeverLeapfrogOverAUnicorn · 04/09/2009 10:19

bloody hell MNHQ sort it out!!! The ads are bleeding into the posts. It's driving me potty!

  • why did you start faffing around with MN? It was fine until you started faffing around with it. It's never worked properly since.

grrr.

IneedacleanerIamalazyslattern · 04/09/2009 10:20

SAme here I actually came looking to see if it was just me.
Big gap at top of threads i'm on and sctive convos with an ad in the middle and all the posts in thread are ocerlapping the ads down the right hand side here.

gorionine · 04/09/2009 10:20

Catherninemumsnet was on yesterday so I assume they know at MNHQ. Is there a more efficient way to get to them?

OP posts:
barbiebigpants · 04/09/2009 10:21

mine is the same, ad's everywhere!
Have to also scroll down to bottom of page to see the threads im on.....

cyteen · 04/09/2009 10:25

Same here, Dumbledoresgirl - Threads I'm On has lost all its random white space but there's ads all over the posts and I can't read them properly Sort it ahhhht HQ!

JustineMumsnet · 04/09/2009 10:25

It's a bug in Classic - apologies - we're looking at it (meantime you could customise to Mumsnet New ?)

Lilyloo · 04/09/2009 10:26

aha it's a ploy then

gorionine · 04/09/2009 10:28

Thanks Justine! I do not really like Mumsnet new but will give it another go for a limited time!

OP posts:
LadyStealthPolarBear · 04/09/2009 10:31

OK, that;s not better

NeverLeapfrogOverAUnicorn · 04/09/2009 10:31

oh. I see. forcing us to accept change.

Never.

Never ever ever.

LadyStealthPolarBear · 04/09/2009 10:32

Think I'll go and sort out washing until whoever's fiddling with the stylesheets has finished - no pressure but I'll give you 5 minutes

NeverLeapfrogOverAUnicorn · 04/09/2009 10:32

You are having a laugh! Now the posts on threads I'm on are down the side, over the ads, and the main part of the screen is blank!

JustineMumsnet · 04/09/2009 10:33

oh hang on, New's not working for Threads I'm On either.
EEK!

cyteen · 04/09/2009 10:34

Snap, NLOAU.

gorionine · 04/09/2009 10:34

Please, sort Classic pretty please ? I switched to Mumsnetnew and just remembered why I sooooo disliked it!

OP posts:
Chocolateteapot · 04/09/2009 10:34

Come off Classics, you can't be serious

I shall stick with guessing what people said

random · 04/09/2009 10:34

Its all gone wrong

mustrunmore · 04/09/2009 10:35

I dont seem to have any 'threads I'm on' now

mustrunmore · 04/09/2009 10:37

Oh, yes I do, really camoflagued into the adverts!

Dumbledoresgirl · 04/09/2009 10:38

LOL Threads I'm On has now been squashed into the ad column on the right - where the ads still are - so it has now become completely unreadable!

Sorry Justine, I am sure you are working hard to put this right, but at the moment it is getting worse.

And no, Mumsnet new is not an option. Beds will be made instead.
