There are squillions of swine flu threads and I think it would be helpful to have them all in one place.

Whaddya think?

Reeeeek!

SueW · 16/07/2009 23:19

Just be more selective with your opt-ins/opt-outs for topics.

I have mumsnet set to display 100 active convos but I've only got 28 coming up at the moment cos the rest I designated not interesting/hide

harleyd · 16/07/2009 23:20

but you hide one and three more pop up

whomovedmychocolate · 16/07/2009 23:27

A bit like swine flu victims eh Harleyd

whomovedmychocolate · 16/07/2009 23:27

BTW has anyone bothered to report this thread to MNHQ so they can tell you lot to sod off as well? Click the red exclamation mark, you know you want too.

SolidGoldBrass · 16/07/2009 23:49

All you need to know is here

Olihan · 17/07/2009 00:12

I couldn't agree more. I've just deleted 20 swine flu threads in the last 10 minutes out of 100 active convos.

Having 20% of my active convos cluttered up by them is a PITA, frankly.

Please MNHQ, put them all in one place so we have the option of hiding the whole topic. I, for one, don't come on here to see thread after thread of hysteria, or to spend ages hiding them all.

OliviaMumsnet · 17/07/2009 01:19

Sidge, we normally check in on these threads throughout the day and evening but another good way for us to see things as WMMC is to report a post/click the red exclamation mark and we'll take a look, and get back to you as soon as we can.
And yes johndory we may need to have a gossip meeting to discuss things .
The decision for a new topic is ProtocolLevel4 not my department

morningpaper · 17/07/2009 09:50

I agree

It should be called "The Pig Pen"

morningpaper · 17/07/2009 09:50

Or "The Sty"

Or "The Aporkalyse"

GeraldineMumsnet · 17/07/2009 14:43

Justine's Our take on single topic has mutated .

BigTech just creating it in health and then we'll move relevant threads over.

2shoes · 17/07/2009 14:45

thank you
will be able to have one in sn (if needed though) as it can be a bit different for some.

Sidge · 17/07/2009 16:20

I suggested this [http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/site_stuff/786596-Pork-Scratchings days ago!]]

SoupDragon · 17/07/2009 16:26

here

RemusLupinInAWizardsuit · 17/07/2009 16:26

Yes. And could we have a proper SF expert on (instead of all us amateurs ) to give informed answers to stop all the nonsense?

I'm a bit too tired today to say told you so a hundred times, can we just take it as read I'm being a smug git and move on?

giddykipper · 17/07/2009 17:51

Thank you. I will now not flounce.

whomovedmychocolate · 17/07/2009 17:54

Should we not then create a non-flouncers corner for giddykipper?

giddykipper · 17/07/2009 19:05

Grrr they're still all over the boards.

May not need that non-flouncers corner wmmc

slayerette · 17/07/2009 19:12

I think we need a Swine Flu topic that people use. They're still all over the place.
