We don't need all of these bloody sections. It worked fine as it was.
My concern is that people will miss valuable information.

That is indeed the case, Fool.
SN is one of the best topics on MN and I just worry that this constant fragmenting leads people to miss out on stuff.

If other people wanted an SN Teens section, I'm glad they got it though and hope they find it helpful.

As you can hide topics/sections from active convos... what's that big problem???

KM it was needed(IMO) when you have an older child/teen it is hard to post alongside starting school threads, when you need to talk about college, it just gets lost(I know I tried) yet you can't post in teens as you would end up having to explain over and over about the sn.
IMO it is a section of the sn topic that will grow as posters dc's get older.

Pickyvic and I are chatting now in teens, anyone with any ideas about what she could do next would be welcome. Or have a peak into the possible future issues.

I do think mumsnot should go. And WWYD never really caught on, did it? People still use chat, or the topic relating to what the WWYD is about...

Fio I just didn't get your post.
so glad you don't need the teen section, but I do.
it is hard to post about college, when people are talking about there little people starting school.

sorry Fio, didn't mean to come across so rude, I just get a bit annoyed when people say the teen topic isn't needed. so apologies

2shoes - I guess fio is referring to the difficulties Amber had on here and her discussions with MNHQ. Possibly that might have influenced the decision to move the Parents with Disabilities onto SN, but afaik it was 2shoes that specifically asked for the SN teens topic. And I do sympathise with that request - as I would hazard a guess the majority of regular posters on SN have kids with language delay/ASD/GDD between 3 and 6, and some of the stuff (e.g. around pre-dx) may feel somewhat irrelevant to those ten years plus down the line from dx.
