Tip of the --day-- whenever we get around to changing it. Grrr. Is it just me?

Now, I realise I'm probably only being bugged by this because I'm heavily pregnant, hormonal and spend far to much time on here, but still.

I started reading the tip of the day when it turned up on talk instead of just on the home page. Some of them are great and some are crap, but, I'm getting increasingly annoyed by it. It doesn't seem to get changed at the same time every day, in fact it doesn't necessarily get changed every day at all. If it's not technically possible to change it automatically at a set time each day, can tech not just change the name?

i don't even notice the home page one as its a bit far down the page and i never scroll (its too busy, i don't want to read all that)

LOL at Tech changing the name. Sorry that you're annoyed by this, I'm not sure why it's not an overnight thing, as it used to be. I'll see what I can find out.

Morning all.

We do try to change the Tip of Random Interlude the Day every day - usually in the early afternoon.

But some days we're a bit forgetful very busy and it gets changed later on.

And we tend only to change it once over the weekend because we have such a small editorial team (and so many children!), it's often a case of best endeavours at the weekend.

We have noted your frustration, though, and have put up a big notice in MNHQ saying Must Try Harder.

with me there are 4 more boxes under the MN latest box, the one you see one about MN discounts, then Tip of the random interval day, Quote of the week and Recipe of the week.

I'm on MN new, maybe that's got something to do with it?

Yes, tigana, there is no Tip of the Day in Active Convos if you're in MN Classic - BUT if you want to (and we're sure you want to ), you can see it on the Talk Home page.

Ah ha! So it is my fear of change classic style rather than interweb mishap!

Erm, is it my imagination or was today's, Tip of the Day already done last week? Are you in need of new ideas, MNHQ?

I can offer "Don't MN after drinking a whole bottle of prosecco, you will offend MNHQ and they will ban you"
