OP posts:
psychomum5 · 11/03/2009 17:01

none of mine work

not the one on the front page, nor the advanced search one. I type in name, word, criteria (sp?), press 'search', then nothing, nada, not even a dicky bird poking its tongue out at me........

Same as PuzzleRocks - using IE, and nothing at all happens when I click 'search' in advanced search.

Is there a search thingy on the home page?

LackaDAISYcal · 11/03/2009 21:19

It was working for me yesterday, but not today. Using IE7 I think.

Bleatblurt · 11/03/2009 21:47

Search and Advanced Search is broken for me too. I'm on IE.

Milliways · 11/03/2009 21:48

I could not search Topics before, but now NOTHING happens if I search a poster or a word (eg my name in last week).

Also - I cannot change the no of days "Threads I'm on" from 3 now not on classic - is that right?

Bleatblurt · 11/03/2009 21:48

Oh and the Search at the very top is broken too.

LibrasJusticeLeagueofBiscuits · 11/03/2009 22:24

ok my search at the very top is working.
the regular search DOES work but only if I press enter after entering my search term not if I press the search button.
advanced search doesn't work at all for me.
I am on IE.

AnarchyAunt · 11/03/2009 22:31

I tried pressing enter but it just makes a noise - sort of du-du-diiing - and does nothing.

flowerybeanbag · 12/03/2009 09:09

Oh FFS, now search isn't working at all, the search button does nothing, this is a real pain in the neck.

SoupDragon · 12/03/2009 09:13

All of my search buttons work - the one at the very top, the one just below it and the Advanced Search option.

I'm using Firefix

flowerybeanbag · 12/03/2009 09:20

Show-off!

SoupDragon · 12/03/2009 09:41

Ditch Internet Explorer and switch to Firefox

SoupDragon · 12/03/2009 09:42

Firefox

flowerybeanbag · 12/03/2009 09:48

Oooh helloooooo! How exciting. Now my search seems to be working....

Thank you!

Polgara2 · 13/03/2009 09:38

My advanced search isn't working either I use that a lot! The one at the top of the page works but it just ain't selective enough.

Polgara2 · 13/03/2009 09:39

Oops forgot to say am on IE as well. I don't want to switch to Firefox coz it broke my old computer and am scared to try again.

georgimama · 13/03/2009 12:56

IE doesn't do search or advanced search for me.

It works in Mozilla. I usually MN in Mozilla but I am at work (don't tell on me).

WhatsTheBloodyPoint · 13/03/2009 13:29

My search function has been broken challenged ( )for some time now. On IE. Any updates MNHQ?

Tommy · 13/03/2009 19:53

mine doesn't work either and I couldn't log ion. Had afew emails form MNHQ and I thought it would all be sorted out.

But it's not and I need a thread about handbags that was here a few weeks ago

SlightlyMadScotland · 14/03/2009 13:16

Search not working for me either.....

I have tried advanced search only; am on IE; and when I press the search button nothing happens.

HelenMumsnet · 14/03/2009 13:23

Hi everyone. Just to let you know that we are working on this but it may take us a while.

Sorry that it's all so frustrating for you.

In the meantime, if you're on Internet Explorer and can change to Firefox, you may find things are better.

Hope you find that handbag thread, Tommy! It wasn't this one, was it?

SlightlyMadScotland · 14/03/2009 13:28

I am looking for a thread that I know that I sa last week. Twas from a poster called HideousZitOnMyNose and she was concerned that her 46 year old daughter wasn't eating her crusts.....now if you could find me that thread it would be WONDERFUL!

HelenMumsnet · 14/03/2009 13:31
Grin
SlightlyMadScotland · 14/03/2009 13:33

Grinning at me isn't very helpful

Tommy · 15/03/2009 15:13

thanks Helen - but it wasn't that one..
