Just to confirm that Mumsnet is not working in IE right now - so if you're getting weird spaces and it all looks wrong, that's why. Techs are being hassled asked every few minutes if it is fixed. We'll let you know as soon as they've fixed the pesky problem. For now, please use Firefox. The link to download it for free is www.firefox.com

I've only just realised that when you click on Talk you have a page of topics! I have never even scrolled down the page before. Only use "Active" and "I'm on"

I feel a bit guilty saying that as Tech works for hours, days even, to make it all look lovely and I didn't even notice it.

Sorry Tech!

HelenMumsnet · 21/02/2009 12:32

Hi Pixel (and others): yes, it does look, infortunately, as if changes in Customise are not 'sticking' in IE. Sorry about that. We will keep trying to fix it but fear it may take a while. If you're able to switch to Firefox or Safari, it'll definitely help.

Mrs Weasley Tech is hanging his head in despair - or at least he would be, if we hadn't let him out for the weekend for good behaviour.
PS: The Home page is really rather nice, you know. You can see if the threads you're on have made the 'Discussions of the day' and find out which threads are 'Most active' at the moment.

HelenMumsnet I will pay more attention in future and will scan all the screen!

Oh, we do care, thumbwitch Do have a little look round one day: Home page is very pretty and there's lots of new MNetters-inspired info in our Pregnancy, Conception, Babies and Toddlers section up there ^

Got me bang to rights, Mrs Weasley

MrsWeasley · 22/02/2009 14:04

I am converted Whilst inspecting the home page I found the recipe section and have just made some of the "110Biscuits" which my family are chomping through quicker than I can find an empty box to put them in.

Under Customize, I cannot seem to hide certain topics (antenatal and postnatal in my case). I put them in the excluded list, hit save but nothing happens.

Is this a known issue? Or maybe I am doing something wrong.

HelenMumsnet · 24/02/2009 11:10

No, it's not known, blueshoes.

Hang on, let me have a go and see if it's working from our end.

HelenMumsnet · 24/02/2009 11:18

It's working for us in Firefox and Safari. Tech's going to have look (when he's got a sec) to see if it's working in Internet Explorer

blueshoes · 24/02/2009 11:42

Very sorry, Helen. I realise that it is only 'Active' that is affected, not 'Last Hour'. Yes it is now working for me (Internet Explorer) in Active.

HelenMumsnet · 24/02/2009 11:44

Blueshoes, it's working in Explorer, too, we think.

In Customise, are you clicking on the topic you want to exclude, then clicking on 'Move selected to Excluded'?
