I do! The blue is very restful.

I agree
Once a few wrinkles have been ironed out it is going to be fantastic!

OhBling · 30/01/2009 10:25

me too

Stayingsunnygirl · 30/01/2009 10:27

And me.

lemonmoon · 30/01/2009 10:27

I want to chime in and agree too - I thought I didn't but that's because I hadn't gone to the customize page and changed it to the new look. Makes much more sense when you do that!

KayHarkerIsNotAnAuthority · 30/01/2009 10:27

I don't mind the blue, I'm just a bit ticked off that you can't read the whole thread title.

But it is a bit stressful to have to deal with change, so I think I might be forced to flounce for a bit.

Lizzylou · 30/01/2009 10:29

I like it too
Well done Tech and your gang

scampadoodle · 30/01/2009 10:34

I used to be a designer on a newspaper & whenever we had a re-design, oh god, the drama! We'd get letters, & phonecalls, & suicide threats... (I'm kidding about the suicide threats. I think.)

OP posts:
hunkermunker · 30/01/2009 10:39

I really like it as well. Well done all!

Lurkinaround · 30/01/2009 10:40

I don't mind the change. What I find irritating is the fifty squillion threads moaning about it.

hunkermunker · 30/01/2009 11:06

Oh, that's just Mumsnet.

Or "I've got a gob and I'm gonna use it"

UpSinceCrapOClock · 30/01/2009 11:13

Since switching to MN new (was all squished before because I was in 'clas

sic' mode) - I actually quite like it too. I like that there aren't any lines bordering everything (like when you were little and used to outline everything in your picture with black felt tip pen, and your pictures suddenly seemed to look better once you started colouring in without all the outlining lark).

BennyAndJoon · 30/01/2009 11:14

I like it too

I haven't gone to custmise yet - I was on discrete anyway

hunkermunker · 30/01/2009 11:19

FLETCH! How've you beeeen?

What's with the new name?

hunkermunker · 30/01/2009 11:20

USCOC, whaddya mean, "used to when you were little"?

Scorta · 30/01/2009 11:21

I have to scroll down half a page past the terrible adverts to see anything on the page - there is a huge chunk of white on the right.

BennyAndJoon · 30/01/2009 11:41

I just fancied a change (and my mum doesn't know about this one as far as I know )

I am in my last day of work today, just taken Vol Redundancy, and am now looking for a job darn sarth

Keep an eye out for my panicy thread about being unemployed

UpSinceCrapOClock · 30/01/2009 12:06

hunker - hide that pen where you can't see it - your pictures will never be the same again and your fridge door will thank you for it's refreshing new artwork.

(I still have a picture I drew of my older sister where I outlined everything in thick black felt - including eyelashes (both top and bottom) and it took me ages to work ouy why it looked 'wrong'. I showed my sister when I came across it a few years ago and all she could say was 'flippin 'eck, my eyelashes must have really made a big impression on you')

hunkermunker · 30/01/2009 12:58

Dammit re mother, Benny Hope she doesn't find you now! Will think of you posting as wearing a trilby and false tache now

ROFL at outlining eyelashes! I'm still at the "draw a house with a window each side of the door, path up to door and garden each side of path with lying down fence" stage of drawing, I'm afraid - though there's something v comforting about doing it

Tortington · 30/01/2009 12:59

i quite like it

VampiresWalkin · 30/01/2009 12:59

THAT'S who you are B&J!

JustineApologiesMumsnet · 30/01/2009 13:02

Scorta - white space/ ads in wrong place in MN classic and muted options should be fixed now.

KayHarker - thread titles should wrap now

Let us know if not.

Apologies for frustration.

VampiresWalkin · 30/01/2009 13:05

nOPE THEY DON'T

VampiresWalkin · 30/01/2009 13:05

Oops

MegBusset · 30/01/2009 13:05

Hello, not sure if someone has mentioned this but when viewing in Firefox or Safari the text is right up against the left-hand side of the browser -- making it really hard to read. Is this being looked at?

VampiresWalkin · 30/01/2009 13:06

It is central on my firefox
