I did it today. Twice. Made me feel like a boring old fart!

and then I worry all night "have they been waiting till I switched off so they can gossip about me behind my back?"

I have, in the past, come downstairs and switched the bloody computer back on just to check.

Then I worry that somehow they gossiped about me, then knew I was switching the computer back on and miraculously got MNHQ to delete all the gossipy posts before I saw them.

Did I mention that sometimes I get a bit paranoid?

God, this is ridiculous! When my LO wakes up at 12am and I've had no sleep, I am going to curse my stupidity.

Monkeyblue · 13/01/2009 22:49

I thought they must know Ive gone to bed How They know I dont know when I think about it properly

But I do take personally

fryalot · 13/01/2009 22:49

ah, there's no point trying to sleep now, if you're going to be woken up at 12 anyway!

May as well stay here and check out AIBU

Monkeyblue · 13/01/2009 22:51

Marthasmama · 14/01/2009 02:53

Ok, so she woke up at 2.30 and appears to be quite happy about being awake! Surely nobody else is up now!!

I'm still here! LO won't go back to sleep!! Bloody typical. A week of sleeping through and now back to normal. I knew it wouldn't last, but then I was so amazed she did it at all that I was convinced she was ill!!! But.....yes....looks like she's going back to sleep! Yay!!!!

squatchette · 14/01/2009 03:32

Stand back every one CLEAR ...

squatchette · 14/01/2009 03:33

Can anyone smell burning???

Marthasmama · 14/01/2009 04:37

That might be the toast I just sent DH to make! BFing is hungry work!

Marthasmama · 14/01/2009 04:41

squatchette, think you've killed the Derren Brown thread! Or maybe everyone has drooled onto their keyboards thinking about David Tennant. Mmmmmmm.....!

LightShinesInTheDarkness · 14/01/2009 09:22

Hey, Marthasmama - DH came home as I was on MN, so I quickly switched off (!). Then woke up in the middle of the night worrying that I had left you thinking you had killed another thread! So glad you found someone else to talk to!

Thank you Lightshines. LO had a terrible night so we have only just woken up. DH is off work today and the first thing I asked was for him to grab me the laptop. He shook his head and said 'going on Mumsnet then?'. He has enquired about Dadsnet, but then if he gets involved in that then I won't get a look in (it's his laptop)!

LightShinesInTheDarkness · 14/01/2009 12:26

Its just nice to know there are other mums around, isn't it? Sadly my getting-up-all-night days are long gone!

I am looking forward to sleeping again, but I know what you mean by the sadly. Our 5 year old seems so grown up now. I miss his funny little ways and the mistaken pronunciations. Bless him.
