Help! Help! We need as many of you as possible to do our survey about whether or not the economic crisis will affect your Christmas. Everyone who completes the survey will be entered into a prize draw and three people will win £160 worth of vouchers for the Big Discount Store. Thank you, MNHQ

I've done it. But there wasnt really an option for the fact that I did all my xmas shopping in last years Jan sales!

filthymindedvixen · 10/11/2008 20:15

I didn't even look WMMC, I just know we don't have an actual shop nearby!

ScoobyDoo · 10/11/2008 20:16

Have entered.

You don't need to live near a store because it says on there site they deliver so you can order online

ScoobyDoo · 10/11/2008 20:17

Mrs Jamin there is an option on one of the questions to type n/a if you didn't have a child last Christmas.

Done btw (twice as I mistyped e-mail address first time round due to wine tiredness)

Wendyjayb · 10/11/2008 20:55

All done x

carriemumsnet · 10/11/2008 21:00

Thanks all. No you don't need to write done to be entered, but it's always nice to know when you have done the survey

The big discount store definitely deliver (think it's £4 or £5) so it doesn't matter if you don't live near one of their stores. And for overseas folks, it's probably one of those that if you win you need a UK address to get the goodies delivered to, but when we canvassed opinions on this, most folks were able to work with that.

In answer to Mercy, some surveys we get paid to run and the client uses the results either to develop or improve a product or to generate press/publicity for the product. Or we run surveys sometimes because a specific newspaper has asked us to find out what mums think, or because we think that what you think should be made known to the world .

In this instance we have a collection of top tips about beating the credit crunch at Christmas (from you) and wanted to know how folks felt about Christmas this year before we sent the tips out. We also thought it might be one of those where the world might need to know what Mumsnetters think!

Hope that helps and thanks again for completing the survey.

sorry carrie - could you explain why you need our talkname for that?

twoluvlykids · 10/11/2008 21:07

done it, and it's the first survey I've done (I think)

noonki · 10/11/2008 21:21

done it - but what if you have less money for xmas but don't care coz you feel that christmas should be about family not pressies!

I ticked a box that sounds like I am worried about it when I really am not... now I am worried about the mortgage/gas bills/clothes etc but not christmas.

thumbwitch · 10/11/2008 21:40

Done - but my answers won't make sense! IF you need a reason, DS was only 3 weeks old on Christmas Day last year and will be 1 year and 3 weeks old this year! So who spends loads on presents for a 3wo baby? Not us, anyway.

JustineMumsnet · 10/11/2008 21:52

Hi Furball,
Giving us your name enables us to identify you as a competition entrant. We only ask for nicknames and talk names for belt and braces, as it were, in case anyone enters one of them incorrectly.
We DO NOT and never would, without explicit permission, pass any data on to anyone. This survey is entirely for our own use as Carrie said - i.e. not commissioned by any third party but even if it was they don't get your email address unless they've specifically requested it and you've specifically agreed to give it to them, usually as a condition of entry.

Hope that helps.

Furball · 10/11/2008 22:02

Thanks Justine - I did/do know that you never forward our details on, but usually you just ask for our email addresses, so just wondered why. But hey if it means you can deffinately track me down when I win, great!

solo · 10/11/2008 22:16

No local one to me either...could always raffle them or ebay them if you win though?

hedgehog1979 · 10/11/2008 22:18

done and dusted
